Juniata resident, Carl E. Anderson, 91 died Monday, March 16, 2009 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE. Services will be Friday, March 20, 2009 at 2 PM at the Brand-Wilson Chapel, Hastings, NE with the Rev. Dr. Lee Wigert, officiating. Burial will be at the Juniata Cemetery, Juniata, NE. Visitation will be Thursday, March 19, 2009 from 9 AM to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE and up till service time Friday at the chapel. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Carl was born June 21, 1917 to John Gustav and Mathilda Amelia (Kolberg) Anderson in Hastings, NE. He graduated from the Juniata High School, Juniata, NE. He married Lois Boge on June 11, 1950. Carl farmed near Juniata on his familys farm. He lived on the family farm all his life until he and Lois moved to the Kensington in Hastings, NE in 2006. Carl was a member of the Juniata United Methodist Church, in Juniata, NE, a life member of the Stuhr Museum and a member of the Platte Valley Antique Machinery Assn. He is survived by his wife Lois, 1 daughter, Terry Gangwish and husband Ron, 2 sons, Tony Anderson and Max Anderson and wife Lorrie, all of Juniata, NE, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, 1 brother John Anderson and wife Joan of Lincoln, NE, and 1 brother-in-law, Thane Weeks of Juniata, NE. He was preceded in death by 1 sister, Naomi Weeks. Memorials may be given to the Juniata United Methodist Church, Juniata, NE.
