Betty Jean Schmidt, 73, of Grand Island died Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at her home in Grand Island.

Services will be at 10:30 AM Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jack Gillam officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 PM, at Concordia Cemetery at Prosser, NE. Visitation hours will be from 4 to 7 PM, Sunday, April 5, 2015 at the Apfel Funeral Home, Grand Island. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or to the family to be designated to an Educators Scholarship Fund. Apfel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
