Adina C. Jacobitz

Kenesaw resident, Adina C. Jacobitz, 86 passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Mary Lanning Healthcare.



Services will be Monday, April 25th, 2016 at 10:30 am at Zion Wanda Lutheran Church, Rural Juniata with Reverend Lon Landsmann officiating. Burial will be in Zion Wanda Church Yard Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 2pm to 6 pm at the Apfel Funeral Home, Kenesaw. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home, Kenesaw, is in charge of the arrangements.



Memorials may be given to Zion Wanda Cemetery Fund and the Lutheran Hour Ministries.



Adina was born July 20, 1930, in Switzerland County Indiana to Martin and Anna (Torwelle) Klusman. She graduated from Cross Plains High School, Indiana in 1949. On April 24, 1954 she married Dean Jacobitz at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dewberry, Indiana. After which the couple lived and farmed in Rural Kenesaw where she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Zion Wanda Lutheran Church, the Zionetz/ LWML, and the Church Quilting Ladies. Adina enjoyed quilting, knitting, and crocheting, was a former 4-H leader. She was also on a bowling league for many years. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.



She is survived by her husband Dean of 61 years, her 4 sons and spouses David (Cindy) of Kenesaw, Gordon (Sandy) of Holstein, Larry (Kim) of Hastings, and Randy (Phyllis) of Juniata, Grandchildren Adam (Molly) Jacobitz, Taylor (Brianna) Jacobitz, Jeremy Jacobitz, Melissa (Rev. Daniel) Galchutt, Nathan (Amanda) Jacobitz, Luann (Chris) Scheufele, Brett (Amelia) Jacobitz, Chris Jacobitz, Breanna Jacobitz, April (Ryan) Harrison, Cody (Megan) Krous, 20 Great GrandChildren, and one sister in law Joyce Swinney of Versailles, Indiana.



She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Gilbert, Leroy, Howard Klusman, one sister Velora Pollert and two Grandsons, Matthew and Mark Jacobitz.
