Adella Louise Anna Laporte

Hastings resident, Adella Louise Anna LaPorte, 92, of 1806 West 4th, died Monday, June 4, 2007 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital. Services will be Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 10 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE, with the Rev. Greg Volske officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Thursday, June 7, 2007 from 12 noon to 9 PM, and Friday, June 8, 2007 from 9 AM to 9 PM with family present from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Hastings, NE and up till service time at the church. Condolences may be sent to www.brandwilson.com. Mrs. LaPorte was born, May 24, 1915 to Julius and Louise (Roeber) Komrofske in Omaha, NE. She was baptized June 6, 1915 at the Cross Lutheran Church, in Omaha, NE. She was confirmed at the Zion Lutheran Church in Hastings, NE on May 12, 1929. She married Victor Joseph LaPorte on April 11, 1933; he passed away June 7, 1967. She worked at the Hastings Regional Center for many years, retiring from there. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE. She is survived by, 2 daughters, Beverly J and husband Harvey Dedrick , and Shirley A. and husband William Mitchell all of Hastings, NE, 4 sons, Richard L. and wife Hazel of Plainville, KS, Robert E. and wife Lucille of Hinckley, IL, James J. and David A. LaPorte both of Hastings, NE. 24 Grandchildren, 71 Great Grandchildren and 35 Great Great Grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor, her parents, and 1 grandson, 2 sisters and 1 brother and 1 great granddaughter. Memorials may be given to the Zion Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE.
